Gabriel Loumeau

Gabriel Loumeau is an applied economist studying the causes and consequences of urban and regional development. 

He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Spatial Economics at VU Amsterdam. Dr. Loumeau is also Research Fellow at CESifo, a Cantidate Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute and affiliated to the Department of Management, Technology and Economics at ETH Zurich.

In February 2026, he will be joining the University of Neuchâtel as Full Professor of Economics, where he will hold the Chair of International Economics.
